Find your two surfaces, one down the side and one across the top. The letter where they meet is the glue type whose makers list both surfaces, the one our glue finder names first for that pair indoors. A dash means no glue we read lists both.

E = Two-part epoxy, S = Super glue, C = Construction adhesive, H = Hybrid polymer glue (such as Loctite Extreme Glue), F = Flexible solvent glue (such as E6000), K = Contact adhesive (such as Gorilla Clear Grip), W = Wood glue, T = Fabric glue. A dash: no glue we read lists both surfaces.

How to read it
- Letters: E = Two-part epoxy, S = Super glue, C = Construction adhesive, H = Hybrid polymer glue (such as Loctite Extreme Glue), F = Flexible solvent glue (such as E6000), K = Contact adhesive (such as Gorilla Clear Grip), W = Wood glue, T = Fabric glue.
- Columns: Wd wood, Mt metal, Al aluminum, Gl glass, Ce ceramic or porcelain, Ti tile, Co concrete, St natural stone, Br brick, Pl hard plastic, PV rigid PVC, Ac acrylic or plexiglass, PC polycarbonate, PP polypropylene or polyethylene, Vi soft vinyl, Ru rubber, Si cured silicone, Fo foam, Fa fabric, Le leather, Pa paper or cardboard.
- One type per cell. Many pairs have more than one type listed; the chart shows the one the finder leads with. The finder names up to two types and lists the products for your pair.
- Aluminum, PVC and polycarbonate show only glues whose makers name them. Many more list metal or hard plastic in general, so check the Metal or Plastic row too.
- Indoors. The chart is the indoor answer. Outdoors, only products whose makers say they’re for outdoor use count, so some cells change: pick Outdoors in the finder.
A letter means at least one product of that type has both surfaces on its maker’s list and rules out neither. It isn’t a strength rating. 43 of the 231 pairs have no glue we read that lists both. Every one involves cured silicone, which no glue we read lists, or polypropylene and polyethylene, acrylic, polycarbonate or soft vinyl, which few of these makers name.
